5 Garnet Rings to Buy Yourself for Valentine’s Day
I fell in love with garnets when I saw a ring with three red stones in a row and a simple gold band online.
I impulsively ordered it thinking that it might go well with a few outfits but found that I wore it more often than I ever expected.
The deep red doesn’t exactly shine like diamonds in sunlight but, instead, provides a solid, deep splotch of color against my skin that makes me feel good.
Five garnet rings later and I think it’s safe to say that I’m obsessed. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner I’m giving myself permission to buy yet one more.
Drawn to unique stone shapes? This elongated marquise shaped garnet really stands out because the angles are more defined. It’s also great for making short fingers look longer since it’s longer than it is wide.
The exaggerated gold prongs on this ring create a geometric pattern across the deep red of the cushion cut garnet centerpiece.
It’s both modern and eye-catching in its simplicity and perfect as a right-hand ring.
This 10k yellow gold ring does something similar with additional detail just below the prongs.
How about a simple solitaire? (Although I can’t take my eyes off of how it pairs with the gold ring next to it!)
This pear cut stone has some mesmerizing hues radiating from the center.
What I really like is the idea of combining those two rings – which, fortunately, was done in this hand-crafted beauty below. The pear shaped stone nestles in between a gold V.
Garnet works well in boho style rings, too. I have a thing for red candy (is it just me?) and when a collection of these red stones are placed close together it looks like I could pluck it off my finger and eat it. A juicy Valentine’s Day present for yourself, certainly!
This flower cluster garnet ring does the same thing.
Finally, there’s the wrap ring with two garnets – one at each end. It’s pretty in silver or gold. A simple ring that still adds a punch of color.
Or get the same look with band garnet rings that can be stacked together to create your own visual display.
If you love garnet rings as much as I do take advantage of holiday specials shortly before February 14th to get the best deal!
